real wedding | Ryan + Tracy

“Tracy and Ryan are true lovers of the outdoors and having a wedding in the beautiful vineyards on the North Fork of Long Island was absolutely perfect for them. Tracy created many of the special details herself, such as the escort chart and the table numbers. It was also very important to the couple to have their lovely dog be a part of the ceremony and Martha Clara Vineyards gladly made that happen. The details, the wonderful guests and the perfect venue all created the most special day of Tracy and Ryan’s lives.” – Lennon Photo

I love this seating chart!!! It is absolutely darling and a completely perfect fit for the venue… would you like to hear something sweet? The groom made this cork board! Asking your groom to help DIY more ‘manly’ aspects of your wedding can be a fabulous way to get him involved!

“Once the ceremony and all the formal picture taking was over, we were just so ready to kick up our feet and party with all of our family and friends.  We both remember walking into the reception with this attitude like, “Ok, let’s do this!”…

I focused a lot of energy on little DIY projects for the wedding.  It was therapeutic in a way, and helped relieve some of the stress of planning a wedding.  I’m really glad I had all those little touches (and a handy fiance!) because I think the details are what help your wedding stand out from the rest, and it lets others get a sense of your personality.  I made my own table numbers from different shades of used green wine bottles.  Instead of handing out wedding programs, my fiance made a giant chalkboard, on which we wrote the details of the ceremony, and propped it against a fence so guests could read it as they entered the ceremony space.  I also did away with seating cards, and posted seating information and table numbers on a homemade corkboard (also compliments of my wonderful fiance)…

If you are able, take your time with planning your wedding. We had about 20 months to plan and organize our wedding, and we felt that this gave us an opportunity to just enjoy being engaged and take our time with planning the wedding.  We were able to focus on all the little details that we felt made our event unique.” – Tracy, the bride
