This is a new feature to Something Turquoise, the signature drink recipe. Having multiple bartenders in my family… who are always dreaming up new concoctions… gave me an idea! Why not feature a new wedding inspired cocktail each month!!! Well here is the first – the orange coolie. Perfect for a daytime wedding or a bridal shower, this light beverage will be sure to tingle your taste buds and loosen your goose!

To me – it is all about the color. I encourage all my brides to serve a ‘signature drink’ at their receptions and/or bridal showers. One that matches their party either in theme or in color… and since orange is the hue of the season, I figured I’d start there! Something to consider when choosing a signature beverage is the ease of serving… this drink is so simple; Cava, Blood Orange Italian Soda and a Cutie Segment. If at a wedding, your bartenders will have no problem serving this drink. If at a bridal shower, have the cava on ice, the blood orange soda in a decanter and glasses set out already garnished with the cutie segment… so simple – also perfect for brunch the day after your wedding!
