engagement | ghost town

Today’s lovely engagement shoot was actually shot on film! Can you believe it!? I love when photographers like Stephen of Stephen Pappas Fine Art Wedding Photography, take the time to use film. When shooting film, your frames are limited and you can’t just throw away images, so you end up taking time to decide if an image is worth shooting or not. To me, it’s romantic.

Bethany and Christian live in Las Vegas and decided to do their engagement shoot at an old ghost town called El Dorado Canyon, about an hour southeast of Vegas. “We did this shoot at sunrise instead of sunset because the canyon opened up to the east and it gave us a little different kind of light.  What was great about this town is that there is all sorts of junk, and run-down buildings that created a really artistic background.  I think my favorite things about the shoot were the old cars and the three-story barn.” – Stephen
