UPDATE

So, yeah… this was my first DIY post ever. An exact copy of a Martha Stewart project from way long ago. I could delete it, so you all don’t see it – since it’s embarrassing. Or I can just rock it. We all have to start somewhere and this is where I started… emulating a woman that has been an inspiration to be my entire life. Cheers to Martha!

Today I am very excited to introduce the very first DIY from Something Turquoise! I got this idea from Martha Stewart’s Living Magazine and I ran with it… photography by Something Turquoise Photography. I think these favors are absolutely adorable and they could totally be tailored for a wedding! The cute sticks are cinnamon and vanilla coffee/cocoa stirrers from Hammond’s Candies. They melt so fast in your coffee and they taste delicious. I love how CK is now making Sixlets candies in just about every color… they look so cute on cupcakes and they make the perfect ‘stars’ for this project. Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday weekend!

{You will need} Cocoa stirrers: I got mine from Hammond’s Candies. Sixlets and 2″ x 10″ clear treat baggies: both I ordered from Baker’sNook.com. Tag punch, Crop-A-Dile, eyelets, stamp pad, colored pencil and ribbon… all from Michaels.  The Crop-A-Dile by We R Memory Keepers is a terrific tool, it punches holes and sets eyelets with ease. I think these would be just adorable in any color! Imagine all white stirrers with teal sixlets… perfect to pass out at the end of your reception with coffee!
